All adults in Scouting are required to undertake some form of training. In Warwickshire, we want our volunteers to be supported by the training provided and to feel confident in their role. Find out about the training required for your role, building on your existing skills and knowledge.
Training in Warwickshire
Thank you for volunteering to work with Warwickshire Scouts. If you have any questions relating to training please contact the training team. The initial training material is designed to provide you with the information that you need to understand the basics, keeping yourself and the young people you’re working with safe.
Getting Started Training for those working with Young People

All new volunteers must complete the following e-learning Modules within 5 months:

Plus:
Tools for the Role (Section Leaders (03)) or Tools for the Role (Managers and Supporters (04))
A Personal Learning Plan (02)
(Modules 2 and 3 will be validated by a Training Adviser, enabling further training to be planned).

Mandatory Ongoing Learning – keep up to date with Safety and Safeguarding training (renewable every 3 years).
It is essential for the safety of yourselves and the young people that you support that you keep these up to date; Risk Assessments for face to face activities will not be approved if your Mandatory Ongoing Learning is not up to date.
