Get In is a weekend activity camp which runs every 4 years in Warwickshire. The next event will be in 2026, with a date and venue to be announced in early 2025.

We are thrilled to announce that Get In, our ‘Festival of Scouting’, will once again return for 2026!

When:

Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May 2026.

Where:

The Ragley Estate, Alcester, B49 5NJ.

Who:

All members of Warwickshire Scouts, including: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers & Network.

What is Get In?

Get In is our ‘Festival of Scouting’ – a weekend long, activity based, camping event showcasing everything that we know and love about Scouts. Outdoors and in nature, camping, taking part in adventurous activities, learning new skills, meeting new people, making new friends, experiencing new things and making lifetime memories to name a few. In 2022 over 4500 members joined the event! Watch the event video here.

What do I need to do?

At this stage, we are asking you to share the ‘Save the Date’ across your groups. Our intention is to be able to confirm ticket costs and share details on how to book tickets in May 2025. Access ‘Save the Date’ posters here & share posts from the Get In Facebook Page to your own group pages.

We need volunteer support…

We are now looking to form our Event Team, the fantastic volunteer team of people who will turn Get In from an idea into a reality. From 4 hours planning each week to a few hours volunteering at the weekend itself, we are keen to welcome as many pairs of hands as possible – besides, extra hands make light(er)! work.

If you are able to offer your time, we’d really love to hear from you – find out more about the roles/responsibilities/tasks/skills that we need on our website along with the sign up form here. Please don’t be put off by the formal structure, instead we’d encourage you to look into each of the event functions – what they’ll be responsible for and decide how your skills & circumstances could support that area. The structure is there to help guide this process and get the right volunteers into the right areas. If you are still unsure, you can always declare your experiences/skills on the form and we’ll do our best to place you.

Past events

Get In 2022

In 2022 we held Get In at Ragley Hall, in Alcester – West Warwickshire. Over 3500 participants attended, and enjoyed our six activity zones: INtime, INternational, INvigorate, INdustrial, INflame and IN-the-water. This was the largest overnight post-pandemic event in the UK at the time and our young people were thrilled to be back to enjoy scouting at its best! Get In 2018

In 2018 we held Get In! at Bramcote Barracks, Nuneaton. We had over 3000 people on site for a weekend of action and adventure, providing tonnes of fun and teaching our young people skills for life. The 2018 event was split into six zones; Active, Air, Earth, Fire, Space and Water. You can find our event video on YouTube here, or our photos from the event on our Facebook page!
