Leamington Scouts
Welcome to Leamington, where we love helping more people to do more Scouting more often! Why not join us in the fun and adventure of making it all happen?
Leamington is the most central district in Warwickshire, with over 1,100 young people aged from 6 to 25 years old regularly participating in activities with us on a weekly basis! Our ambition is to help even more people to do more Scouting more often. To achieve this, we are supported by an amazing team of volunteers who give their time, energy and expertise to make it all happen. Whether you are interested in working with our young people directly or more behind the scenes, there is bound to be something you could get involved with that would match up with your skills, interests and availability. At times, it can be hard work, but it can also be incredibly rewarding with lots of fun to be had and friendships to be made along the way, so why not join us in the adventure?
About Leamington
Leamington District lies at the heart of the County of Warwickshire and, although we have four fantastic groups in the town itself at Dale Street, Holy Trinity, Radford Road and St Mark’s, we are also part of many more communities beyond this. In total, we have 16 groups for our 6 to 14 year olds and 8 units for our 14 to 18 year olds as well as an active network for our 18 to 25 year olds. Beyond Leamington, you can find us in many of the local neighbourhoods around the town such as Cubbington, Heathcote, Radford Semele, Sydenham and Whitnash. To the east, you will find us in Long Itchington, Southam and Stockton. Going south, we are also active in Bishops Itchington, Fenny Compton, Harbury and Lighthorne Heath. So wherever you are and whatever evening of the week you might be free, there’s likely to be something going on near you that you would be very welcome to get involved in.
As well as weekly meetings, our young people and our adult volunteers regularly take part in weekend activities such as hiking, camping and bush craft skills. To support this, we maintain and manage a wonderful facility: Hatton Scout Campsite! We also run a wide variety of events and competitions across the District that allow our groups and units to come together and be part of something bigger that would be harder to achieve at a local level. Beyond this, we actively encourage everyone to take the opportunity when they can to participant in national and international events such as the World Scout Jamboree every 4 years, or the upcoming European Jamboree in Poland.
As you can see, there is always plenty going on in Leamington District, so why not come and join in the fun?
