Warwickshire International 2028
Warwickshire Scouts are exploring options for an international trip in 2028. Read on to find out more about the early plans and how you can express your interest in being part of this exciting adventure!
Help Shape Our 2028 International Adventure
Warwickshire Scouts is inviting expressions of interest from volunteers who would like to lead our next international expedition, planned for 2028.
Rather than selecting a destination first, we’re opening the process to give leaders the opportunity to bring forward exciting ideas for where we could go and what our young people could experience. We want to see inspiring proposals that put adventure, challenge and international Scouting at their heart.
The Trustee Board has agreed that the 2028 trip should follow the successful principles used for our previous international expeditions, including Belize and the Caribbean.
What we’re looking for
Your proposal should demonstrate how the trip will:
- Be open to Explorer Scouts, and potentially Scout Network members (with participant numbers to be determined).
- Be largely self-financing, with participant fees covering the majority of the costs rather than relying on significant County funding.
- Offer an experience that is genuinely unique to a County-led international expedition—something that would not ordinarily be possible for an individual Group or District to deliver.
- Place adventure, personal development and Scouting at the centre of the experience, while giving young people meaningful opportunities to shape elements of the programme.
- Operate within Warwickshire Scouts’ established governance, safety and activity approval processes.
- Represent good value for money and be designed with accessibility and inclusion in mind, ensuring the trip is as open as possible to young people from all backgrounds.
- Be led by a leadership team selected through a fair, transparent and open process, building on the learning from previous international expeditions and World Scout Jamboree experiences.
Submit your proposal
If you’d like to lead this adventure, we’d love to hear your ideas.
Please send us:
- A narrative describing your vision for the expedition.
- A draft itinerary, outlining the proposed programme and destination.
- An outline budget, including expected participant costs and key financial assumptions.
Please submit your proposal by 30 September to the County Lead Volunteer.
Following the submission deadline, proposals will be reviewed, with shortlisted teams potentially invited to present their ideas before a final decision is made.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next major international experience for Warwickshire Scouts and create an unforgettable adventure for our young people.
