Across Warwickshire Scouts we are undertaking a range of safety improvements to keep our members safe and increase compliance with The Scouts requirements. One of these improvements is introducing consistent incident/first aid reporting across activities organised by Warwickshire Scouts.
When does this new form apply:
- Activities, training sessions and meetings ran directly by Warwickshire Scouts (e.g Young leader training, adult training, county events, Get In)
- All units and trip groups directly ran by Warwickshire Scouts (e.g Jamboree Unit)
- For members involved in an incident whilst acting on behalf of Warwickshire Scouts at locally ran events (e.g Leadership Team visit to local event)
- For Alfrey Activity centre volunteers undertaking activities at Alfrey
When does this not apply:
- Any group or district locally ran activity.
- For WAGS Gang Show – own process currently followed.
Please use this form as a digital version of a traditional accident book and include both first aid treatment and near misses. Where an incident becomes reportable to UK Scouts HQ please ensure it is both reported within the Warwickshire Scouts form and the HQ process. This is to ensure we can provide timely support to the people involved.
Even if something seems minor, completing the form helps us build a clear picture and improves our ability to make Scouting safe for everyone. Please make sure that any incidents are reported as soon as possible using the Warwickshire Scouts form.
Please use the form from today onwards, the form is available to complete here and will also be placed upon the county website.
To help us make sure the right people get this information, if you are aware of people who support you in relevant activities please share this page with them.
Many thanks,
