#WarksComms

The Warwickshire Communications Team is responsible for sharing the good news about what groups are doing with local Scouting, all the way up to capturing photos, videos and stories at our county events.

You don’t need to be a professional journalist or photographer to join the #WarksComms team; we welcome anyone, of any skill level! With training available to help you fill the role you desire, we’re keen to welcome as many members as possible.

The Team

The team looks after Warwickshire’s social media, print magazine WISPA, email newsletter iWispa, county website, and all our appearances in the newspapers/TV/radio. From photographers who attend group nights and Scouting events, through to the team who write articles for our print and digital communications, we’re diverse in both age, gender and technical ability.

#SkillsForLife – and for awards!

Our very nature means that if someone has a skill they want to work on, we can give them the opportunity to do so whilst performing a valuable role. This means if you’re looking to fulfil requirements for the Duke of Edinburgh award, Queens Scouts award or any other skill-based award, you can do this with us!

Get Involved

Whether you’d like more information or you’re already convinced and know you want to join in, in order to get started all you need to do is send us an email. Tell us who you are, where you are, and a bit about what you want to do, then our #WarksComms team will get back to you with information about how to get stuck in!
